How do you open a Juno 106?
To get to the insides of a Juno-106 or HS-60 keyboard, you will need to remove four screws – two from each end cap, as indicated in the photo. These are Phillips-head machine screws, so you will need a medium Phillips screwdriver. Do not remove any of the other screws in the end caps.

Power on the Juno-106 while holding down the KEY TRANSPOSE button; this will put the keyboard in Test Mode. The display will read �-_�. Re: Juno-60 vs Juno-106 The JUNO-106 has a far less noisy chorus and a less squelchy filter (it uses 80017a, which actually sounds very different). The JUNO-60 uses the IR3109 filter in a very discreet way providing a lot of squelch, and the chorus is slightly different as well.

Why is my Juno-106’s noise generator not working?
Out of spec noise generator immunity: a Juno-106’s noise generator circuit can be out of spec and inject more noise power into the filter than the previous versions can handle. This can cause them to temporary stop sounding. Lowering the noise level, changing the filter cutoff or resonance brings them back to life.
Can the Juno-106 handle 36V power?
Whichever happens first. 36V is above the supply voltage of the Juno-106 and 500mA will blow its fuses. This means that you can short any number of pins, make wrong connections, have bad parts surrounding these chips, put them upside-down or wrongly aligned in sockets,… you name it, it can handle it. Why?
How does the filter tuning change on a Juno-106?
The filter tuning changes a bit when your Juno-106 heats up or cools down. Mains hum will FM modulate the filter and this highly dependent on its cutoff frequency. Anything that modulates the supply lines will modulate the filters and VCA’s and they will thus cross-modulate each other…
