Why is it important to study enduring issues?
Enduring Issues are HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT. What is historical significance? In Global History, we study those issues that have endured and are historically significant. To prove that something is historically significant one needs to show that it affected a lot of people and had long-lasting effects.

An issue might be significant because it has affected a lot of people, its effects are long-lasting, and/or it impacts the world today.
