Does Fort Mason have free parking?
FREE PARKING – along Marina Green, outside the entrance to Fort Mason Center. If you are driving to class, we recommend using this free parking (which includes hundreds of spots) as the Fort Mason Center lot is pay-to-park and sometimes full (especially on weekends) or charges extra during special events.

Who owns Fort Mason?
The National Park Service took over the administration of the site in the 1970s as a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Can you see Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Mason?
This segment of the Bay Trail, skirting the northern edge of Fort Mason, features lovely Golden Gate Bridge vistas and an overhead view of the piers and buildings of lower Fort Mason, the port of embarkation from which 1.6 million military personnel shipped out to the Pacific Theater in World War II.
Can you walk dogs across the Golden Gate Bridge?
Non-service animals, including dogs and horses, which are being led, ridden, or driven. Service animals, such as guide dogs, signal dogs, and service dogs, are always permitted.
Can dogs go to Point Reyes?
Dogs are permitted on just three beaches—Kehoe, Limantour and Great Beach—and just one trail, and are required to be leashed. Point Reyes is well worth visiting even with those restrictions. There’s a lot to see from the car, too.

Is the Midway strictly 21 and over? Everyone is invited to visit the Gallery and our onsite café Madam Zola’s Fortune. Performances in Ride and Gods & Monsters are often 21+.

Where is the General’s residence in Fort Mason?
For General’s Residence and Chapel: Right on Franklin, into upper Fort Mason. Turn right at stop sign for the General’s Residence or continue straight for the Chapel.
What are the office hours for visitors to campus?
Visitors are encouraged to take public transit or other transportation options to campus. The main office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm except for the following observed holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, Presidents’ Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas through New Year’s Day.
